During a recent visit to the Pasadena Humane Society I came across an adorable pit bull that looked very familiar, and I quickly realized that I recognized the dog from an article that I had read recently in the Pasadena Star News.

The dog, whose is name is Blue, isn’t available for adoption. He is actually staying at the shelter temporarily while his owner, Sesmon Sweat, an Army veteran, is residing in a homeless shelter that doesn’t allow pets. Mr. Sweat visits his loving dog frequently, while he searches for housing where the two of them can live together again.
Stories like this really give me hope for people and their animals that are struggling during difficult times. Housing in the Los Angeles area is very expensive, and to find an affordable rental that is also pet-friendly can be extremely challenging. I’m hoping for the best for this man and his dog, and that they find a great home where they can be together.
